What we build
We are an instrument maker. Everything on this site carries our name because we designed it, specified it and put it into production. The tanks, the transducers inside them, the load cells under the scale pans, the cemented triplets in the loupes: those are ours.
The catalog runs to 30 instruments across 5 benches. It is not a wide catalog on purpose. A bench needs a small number of tools that do not argue with each other, and adding a fourth loupe would not help anyone.
What this site is
This is our catalog, written out properly. Each instrument gets a page with the real numbers off the box, what it does, where it stops, and what owners have said about it.
It is not a store. When you press a buy button you land on the listing at our retail partner, and everything after that point is between you and them.
How we write about the range
We put the capacity and the readability on a scale page because they are two different numbers and people confuse them. We say which stones a tank will ruin. We say when a loupe is enough and a microscope is overkill.
If an instrument does not do something, we do not imply that it does. A diamond tester tells diamond from moissanite and white sapphire. It does not grade, appraise or certify anything, and neither do we.
Getting in touch
Questions about how an instrument works, what it reads, or which one suits a bench come to us and we answer them. Questions about an order that is already placed belong with our retail partner, who has the order in front of them and we do not.
