What this site is
A catalog of instruments we make, written to be read. It is not a store and no contract is formed here.
Prices and specifications
Prices are taken from listings and go out of date. Specifications are read off the instrument and its packaging. We correct errors when we find them and do not treat either as a promise.
What the writing does not claim
Nothing on this site is a valuation, a grading opinion or a certificate. An electronic tester reports what it measures at a point on a piece. Reading that measurement, and deciding what it means for a particular stone, is the job of whoever is holding the instrument.
Buying
Purchases happen at our retail partner under their terms. Payment, delivery and returns are settled with them.
Commission
We earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through the buy buttons here. It costs you nothing extra and it does not decide what goes into the catalog or what we write about it.
