How we built it

A spring-loaded probe tip delivers steady contact against mounted or loose stones on the bench. We engineered this tester to distinguish diamond from moissanite, cubic zirconia, and white sapphire using advanced thermal and electrical conductivity scanning. Built-in LED illumination and UV detection assist your visual inspection during every test cycle.

What it does on the bench

01

Retractable Probe Tip

We build this instrument with a durable retractable probe mechanism that cushions the tip against hard contact. The responsive sensor maintains proper alignment on small facets to ensure consistent conductivity readings across unmounted stones and finished jewelry.

02

Multi-Stone Conductivity Scan

Our internal microprocessor analyzes thermal and electrical conductivity profiles to differentiate diamond from synthetic moissanite, cubic zirconia, and white sapphire. The scanning software evaluates low-conductivity materials without requiring manual recalibration between tests.

03

Integrated Stone Illumination

Bright LED task lighting focuses directly on the testing area so you can position the tip with precision. An integrated UV fluorescence source lets you check for fluorescent reactions in natural diamonds while examining stone details.

04

Versatile Power Options

We designed the housing to accept three distinct power sources for flexible bench or field use. Power the unit through its USB Type-C port, run it on rechargeable NiMH cells, or insert standard AAA alkaline batteries.
